Cookie Policy

“Cookies” here covers cookies and the other ways a site can store things in your browser — localStorage and IndexedDB. The law treats them the same way, so this page lists all of them.
Nothing in the Analytics or Advertising sections runs until you accept it. If you decline, no request is made to PostHog or to Google at all — the scripts are not loaded, rather than loaded and told to stay quiet.
1. Strictly necessary — no consent asked
These are exempt from consent because the service cannot work without them.

2. Preferences — no consent asked
Local to your browser, never sent to us or to anyone else. They only remember what you last chose.

3. Analytics — only if you accept
Our PostHog project is hosted in the European Union. Accepting analytics also attaches your email address and name to your PostHog profile so events can be tied to your account. Session replay is a separate switch: it records the app screen, with typed input and your transcript text masked.

4. Advertising — only if you accept
Used to measure which ads lead to signups. Google receives pseudonymous identifiers and your IP address, in the United States.

5. Changing your mind
Withdrawing is as easy as consenting, and takes effect immediately — switching something off also clears what it already stored.
- Signed in: Settings → Data & privacy, where each purpose has its own switch.
- Anywhere: in the footer, which brings the banner back.
- Your browser’s own settings will also block or delete cookies, though that may sign you out.
Separately from cookies, our backend records whether your transcriptions succeeded. That is not a cookie and is not covered by the banner; it is described in the Privacy Policy and can be switched off in Settings → Data & privacy.
